Ivan Shulman, MD, FACS – General Surgery
Dr. Shulman graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1972. He did a peripatetic surgical residency, beginning with a surgical internship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. After this, he spent two years at the US Public Health Service Indian Hospital in Tuba City, Arizona where he decided that the southwestern US was a very special place to live. He completed his residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, and at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital is San Francisco and became board certified in 1980, with recertification in 1990, 2000 and 2010. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has served on various committees of the College.
Dr. Shulman practiced general surgery at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in West Los Angeles, California for almost thirty years, and joined the Los Alamos Surgical Associates in 2009. His years of experience and level of surgical skill and innovation have helped to raise the standards for surgical services at Los Alamos Medical Center.
